Poor service
My name is Jennifer Pettigrew, ive ben a Skylight one netspend customer since 2018. I went to US bank (check was drawn from US BANK) in Matteson Illinois on 01/06/2024 "with a positive pay" check ($4389.54) from (skylight one/netspend) and It was required to be verified before cashing.
So since the check had usbank on it i decided to go there to avoid check cashing fees. The teller attempted to cash the check beforeverification ( FIRST MISTAKE) which kicked the check out as fraud. She then called to get the verification code (SECOND MISTAKE) which they provided her with which allowed the bank (usbank) to be paid. She then attempted to cashed the check a second time (THIRD MISTAKE, IM OUT!) which came back as fraud again.
There was nothing she could do therefore I left usbank (without my $4,389.54) and called my issuing bank (skylight financial/ netspend) to void the check. Long story short the check couldn't be voided due to usbank was provided the authorization code which entitled them to the funds. Well (usbank) did receive the funds on the 8th of January and told me they returned it on the 9th, since I was not their customer. Well as of today, January 28th, my issuing bank (skylight/ netspend) says nothing was returned to them.
l've been to usbank several times since the 9th, I even went to a different US bank branch thinking that the original location was trying to cover their mistakes. I also called skylight/netspend several times and i also have a recordingof the supervisor stating "US BANK have the funds, and this was on the 24th of January. I've done nothing wrong. Im a working single mother of 3 children.
Those funds were a loan from my 2023 tax refund and my family are in dire need.
We are facing a Eviction at the end of January due to this mishap. Please look into this matter as to I don't know what to do or where to turn.

Someone has been going in my account miles away with a cloned card so I write me a skylight check in the amount of 4,000. Check couldnt get cashed anywhere so I had to void the skylight check and its been 2 weeks and I still dont have access to my money.
They have been giving me the run around about putting the money back on my card.
At this point Ill deal with the scammers by just locking my card but I dont have my funds returned from them yet. Im am very unsatisfied with them one been a customer for 9 years and they are playing with my money.

Canceled Dispute
I’d rather die.
Someone stole $930 from me, the charges are from Montana and I live in Texas. They found no error and closed the dispute without giving me any of my money back. I cant afford to live right now and this might just be the final straw.

I went to a different state and tried to make a purchase, my card declined and i couldnt log into my account. i called the help number and got transferred back and forth.
it was my birthday and i wasted two hours of my life trying to get to someone who could help me. i got to the person who could actually help me and they told me to email them a photo of my social security card and a picture of my license. i told them no i cant do that number one because i was on vacation and number two because thats just weird. thats how identitys get stolen.
and my mom was with me because im a minor and the employee freaked out telling me to call back when i was alone. she was unhelpful and everyone who i was transferred to couldnt help me at all.
this company is already sketchy enough but i didnt have a bank account so i had to get my paycheck somehow. do not use even as your last resort

First of all skylight is the sorriest card company out there my card was stolen for me then when I finally got my card in on a different address where I moved to they did not me my other drive protection and I never got it then I had to go over and over them with them about why did they give me a new card when I wanted the same car with the same company so I could get my overdraft protection and it shows that my card was stolen so yes I'm upset and mad and pissed off so I'm going to go ahead and get a lawyer and I'm suing skylight

Your customer service representative canceled my card without my consent and I still had 17 and then on the second at 1 am so I will have another hundred dollars upload on the card or in my account that does not have a card because they canceled it however, I do have a cash app account. I do not want the money to go to the Netspend skylight unless it has to I would prefer it to go to my cash app.
User's recommendation: Don’t even bother with skylight one. They will close your account with money in it don’t even bother but I would like that $17 that you close in my account back send that to my cash app so therefore when my next paycheck comes in that can go straight to in my cash app account. I do not want money going to that account or to any card from that account, I would like to have my money back to or trying to steal illegally out of my account. I want my money back that’s my money I worked for it plus I want that $11 that was legally taken off of my card. I had four seizures on December 26 that’s what I was told because I woke up in the hospital yesterday I came home. I found my card here but , it does not mean that it wasn’t scanned somewhere like he could’ve went to the store or any store and they could’ve just swiped it as debit didn’t have to use a code or the pin code. These cards are like that.

Money was stolen from my account
All of my money was supposed to have been taken out of an atm an hour away from where I live.. and I am the only one with the atm card..
so how did this happen?
Looks like the company took my money.. and said it will take 90 days to dispute the transaction..

Horrible card give money back
Money was stolen off the debit card and giving me the run around ..do not have anything to do with this card..2 times money was gone ..worst customer service .

Been on the phone for the past hour trying to get the to reimburse $25.42 of fees that they love taking out of my account. They don't value their customers like most banks do!!!
Customer service is beyond ridiculous and good luck trying to reach a manager when you need them. Definitely planning to switch banks soon!!!

I’m still waiting on my check. I’m late with my bill because they haven’t did my check yet. I have been with them for 12 years and they treat me like that.
I had a bill to pay so I loaded money two different time. So they closed my account and havent gave me money yet.
Im very pissed off because that threw me to be late on my bill. I dont feel like they should hold my money like that. This happen July 23 of this year and today date is August 16 and I still dont have my money.
Different people are telling me different stuff. Sad how people are.

My lawyers will be involved. You are not allowed to freeze my card.
And they wont answer the phone calls. If this issue isnt resolved by the end of today I will file a lawsuit. I got bills to pay and if Im late yall are paying the late fees. Im so done with this terrible excuse of a bank.
Always locking your card when ur the one using it. Always making it a huge problem to unlock ur card even though your the one who made the purchase.
No customer phone number will answer theres no update on ur page saying your down. I had 3 of my friends call the number not one answer.

Preferred solution: I want my card unlocked. It shouldn’t have been locked in the first place. I didn’t make any irregular purchases so it makes absolutely no sense
